C-SNAP Registration

Welcome to C-SNAP, your online resource for self-service inquiries!

Providers in the WPS GHA Jurisdictions may register for access to C-SNAP. Once approved, you can verify the Medicare eligibility of patients, check the status of claims submitted to WPS, request a claim appeal, order and view a duplicate remittance advice, and submit inquiries safely and securely over the Internet. For terms and conditions, please read the C-SNAP User Agreement.


Instructions for NPI C-SNAP Administrator Registration

Only registrants willing to serve as NPI C-SNAP Administrator for their NPI Number will be allowed to self-register. All other C-SNAP user accounts must be created by an existing NPI C-SNAP Administrator. Please complete the follow steps to quickly register and gain access to C-SNAP. It is the responsibility of the NPI C-SNAP Administrator to create, approve and oversee access of the NPI for their C-SNAP users.

Step 1 - C-SNAP User Agreement

Click on the Provider Registration button. Read the C-SNAP User Agreement. If you choose to accept the user agreement, select the "I Accept" radio button then "Continue" to proceed to the next step in the registration process.

Step 2 - Provider Credentials Validation

Enter your Medicare group provider information:

  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Provider Transaction Access Number (PTAN)
  • Taxpayer Identification Number (Tax ID)
  • Provider Name

Step 3 - NPI C-SNAP Administrator Roles and Responsibility

  • Read the C-SNAP Administrator Roles and Responsibility Agreement. If you choose to accept the agreement, select "Accept" to continue.

C-SNAP only allows two (2) C-SNAP NPI Administrators to self-register a user account and gain immediate access to C-SNAP. It is the responsibility of the C-SNAP administrator to create and approve access to other C-SNAP users.

Step 4 - Registrant Information

Enter your personal information in the following fields:

  • Registrant Name
  • Work Location
  • Telephone Number
  • Email Address

Step 5 - Current Financial Data

Verification is accomplished using information on a remittance advice with an issue date of 1 - 90 days prior to today. The remittance advice information entered in this step must be billed under the initial NPI you entered in Step 2 of the registration process.

Enter one of the following criteria:

  • Medicare Number (HICN) and Date of Service
  • Check Number
  • Claim Number

Step 6 - Create User Login ID

Create your own unique C-SNAP User ID.

C-SNAP USER LOGIN IDS MUST NOT BE SHARED (one C-SNAP User Login ID must be created per user).

Step 7 - New user Account Confirmation

Please confirm that the information entered is accurate and correct. After confirming the information, an account will be immediately created.

Step 8 - Password Creation

Once the account has been created, you will have three chances to create a new password for the account.

Once you have successfully completed this step, you may now access C-SNAP by logging in with your C-SNAP User Login ID and personal password.

Registration is now complete.

During the first successful login, each user will be required to complete their e-Authentication. To complete e-Authentication, the user must enter their date of birth and select and complete three security questions and answers (Q&A) pairs.

Thereafter, each time the user logs in, they will be required to enter their date of birth and answer one of their security questions.

Browser Requirements

WPS supports C-SNAP on Microsoft Internet Explorer. You can download the latest version from the Microsoft web site. C-SNAP should also work with other Internet browsers (such as Firefox, Opera, and Safari); however, WPS does not guarantee their compatibility with C-SNAP.

Session Time-outs

The C-SNAP Website automatically logs out users after 30 minutes of inactivity. This is a security measure to protect your account information. Click on any link or button to keep your session active.
